Do I Need Saved?

If God were to ask you “Why should I let you into my heaven?”, What would you say? What does the Bible say?

Romans 3v23: ”For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”

Romans 6v23: ”For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Acts 16v31: ”Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved.”

Ephesians 2v8-9: ”For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing, it is the gift of God: not a result of works so that no-one may boast.”

It’s that simple. We are not perfect and that’s why we need a Saviour. The only Saviour is Jesus Christ and it’s all about what Jesus did. No amount of personal effort or good works can get us into heaven. Yes, it’s true that once saved, we should try to live to please God, but we have been saved for those good works, not saved by the good works.
